Library as MOOC hub?

Clay Shirky, in his blogpost “Napster, Udacity, and the Academy”  makes a good case for Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) meeting the needs of a large majority those seeking an education and those firms seeking people with skills and abilities.

2 year and 4 year colleges haven’t adapted yet to respond to  “How do we spin up 10,000 competent programmers a year, all over the world, at a cost too cheap to meter?”

How can libraries partner with MOOC providers and the community we serve to meet local needs?
